Our client, a highly respected local government organisation, is on the lookout for passionate individuals to join their essential electronic tagging service team. Help monitor and support those who need it most, ensuring safety and security for all.


Position: Electronic Field Monitoring Officer
Location: Exeter
Type: Full-Time


Shift Pattern:



  • Covers 7 days per week, 24 hours.

  • Core hour schedules are from 9am to 2am, including weekend working.

  • Majority of shifts are from 4pm to 2am with a 7.5-hour shift.


Pay Rate:



  • Daytime: £11.56 per hour

  • Evenings: £12.92 per hour


Overtime:



  • Paid when an individual has worked over 37.5 hours.

  • Monday to Friday: Single Time.

  • Saturday: 1.5x

  • Sunday/Bank Holidays: Double Time.

  • If the Bank Holiday is a non-scheduled day and you agree to do overtime, you are paid double time with no day off in lieu as this is already equated in your annual/hourly leave entitlement.

Your Role: As an Electronic Field Monitoring Officer, you’ll play a key part in:



  • Installing and decommissioning electronic monitoring equipment in the homes of those subject to electronic monitoring.

  • Visiting the homes of those on curfew to install and calibrate monitoring equipment, ensuring they can be detected within the boundaries of their property.

  • Installation and upkeep of electronic monitoring devices.

  • Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless operations and clear communication.

  • Delivering top-notch customer service to individuals under electronic monitoring.


What You Bring:



  • Full UK Driving License - Manual (not automatic) - No more than 9 points.

  • Extensive travel within the UK – Car & fuel card provided for work purposes.

  • No prior experience needed – we’ll provide all the training you need!

  • BPSS clearance - Full 3-year work history with gaps of over 28 days covered.

  • Basic DBS clearance (or a willingness to obtain one).

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent standard of verbal English.

  • Ability to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
