****Berry Recruitment are looking for Class 1 drivers in Birmingham****

Responsibilities and Duties

• Liaison with Transport Logistics Manager to prioritise and complete deliveries


• Liaison with Production Manager and Yard/Stores staff to support order fulfilment


• Customer contact, service and support


• Carry out statutory checks


• Accurate completion and handling of administrative paperwork to ensure compliance


• Use of Moffett


• Required to operate/pull trailers, skips, modified trailers, curtain siders, walking floors etc


• Opportunity to learn new skills (as required)

Person Specification

• Excellent customer service skills


• Good knowledge of EU driver hours


• Willing and able to work effectively and co-operatively with management


• Flexibility with working hours


• Ability to work as part of a team


• Good communication skills


• Willingness to adapt and learn new skills within the role

Qualifications and Experience

• A valid full category Class 1/HGV C+E licence


• Must have a current LGV CE CPC and Digi Card


• Good awareness of safe working practices


• Experience of driving HGV Class 1 in rural areas desirable

Pay

• £15.79 per hour


• £23.69 per hour for Weekend and BH working


• Night out rate of £40 gross
