Berry Recruitment in Exeter are working Exeter City Council to help them find a Public and Green Space Team Leader to be based in Exeter/

You main function will be to undertake cleaning and ground maintenance services to keep the city looking good.

As a Lead Grounds Person you will have the following responsibilities:

• Grounds maintenance and vegetation management tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub bed maintenance including pruning, and weed spraying etc often using powered pedestrian and hand held equipment


• Graffiti removal using chemicals or powered equipment


• Mechanical sweeping


• General maintenance of sports pitches, tennis courts and other outdoor sports facilities


• As demand dictates, removing litter, emptying litter bins, removing small amounts of graffiti, trimming or removing weed growth and overhanging shrubs, cleaning public toilets etc

To be considered for the Lead Ground Person role in Exeter you should have the following:

• Driving licence


• Experience of cleansing, horticulture, grounds maintenance services or similar outdoor activities


• Good interpersonal skills


• Effective communication skills


• Physically fit

This position is offering an hourly rate of £12.00 and will cover 39 hours a week.
