Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Payroll Advisor to work for an Accountancy firm in Oxford, Oxfordshire


Role: Payroll Advisor


Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum


Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire


Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Advisor:



  • Process payrolls on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis (or as directed) for a range of clients of various sizes and from a diverse range of businesses.

  • Process starters and leavers, calculating statutory payments, RTI submissions, pension deductions etc.

  • Calculating auto enrolment pension deductions and ensuring compliance.

  • Uploading pension contributions and starters to appropriate pension portals.

  • Preparation of P45s, P60s, Starter Declarations and other relevant forms as required.

  • Liaise directly with clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and answer phone queries, resolve problems, and provide payroll support.

  • Communicate with clients, other staff, Directors, and the HM Revenue & Customs.

  • Support clients in the day to day running of payroll systems.

  • Follow good practice procedures and internal administrative processes.

  • Always observe strict confidentiality.

  • Attend training as and when required.



About you:



  • Educated to A Level (or equivalent).

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Strong IT skills and able to pick up new software packages very quickly.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, including when under pressure.

  • Very organised and good at following procedures.

  • Calm and confident, with a professional manner.

  • Able to work to tight time frames.

  • Good at solving problems and able to adopt a logical approach.

  • Willing to keep up to date with legislative changes.

  • Excellent teamworking skills.

  • Benefit in Kind (BiK) experience would be an advantage.
